Why Ishango?

Ishango is the name of the village where, according to certain researchers, one of the very first instruments for measuring time, dating back almost 20,000 years, was discovered.

Ishango is located in Virunga National Park, on the shores of Lake Edward in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
